Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy in Lexington, SC is seeking an Early Child Care Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. You will collaborate with families, document milestones with electronic tracking, and follow safety guidelines to maintain a clean, safe environment.

On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities to advance toward Center Director. Full-time and part-time roles are available to suit different schedules.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• Demonstrated experience working with children; child care, daycare, or preschool preferred
• Early childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred
• Employees must stand for long periods and perform physical activities with children
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must be able to visually supervise children at all times

Responsibilities

• Work as a team with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and ensure the classroom is functioning smoothly.
• Partner with families to nurture and care for their children, documenting milestones with electronic tracking.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep the classroom clean and safe.
