Job summary

New Opportunities, Inc. in Indiana seeks an Education Aide to support early childhood education. The role assists the Teacher and Assistant Teacher to create a safe, engaging learning environment and to carry out planned classroom activities tailored to each child.

The position is part-time, non-union and non-exempt, offering $17.28 per hour for 20 hours per week. HS or GED is required, with ECE credits preferred and about 2 years of related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• HS or GED required.
• Credits in ECE preferred.
• Approximately 2 years of related experience in an early childhood program desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher or Assistant Teacher in planning activities
• Carry out educational activities supporting individual children’s learning outcomes
• Supervise designated groups of children
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly physical environment
• Report any health or behavioral problems to the Teacher
• Support parent involvement and engagement throughout ECD
• Fulfill Mandated Reporter responsibilities
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AIDE:

• H.S. or G.E.D. required
• Credits in ECE preferred
• 2 yrs related experience in an early childhood program desired
