Job Description
  1. Oversees caseload of customers to ensure positive outcomes.
  2. Provides intake services for applicants seeking subsidized child care services.
  3. Accepts and coordinates referrals for child care from authorized referral sources.
  4. Determines, verifies, and documents eligibility and notifies parents of their eligibility status.
  5. Enrolls categorically eligible children as authorized by the Board, the Workforce Center operator, other workforce services providers, and staff.
  6. Promotes and ensures parental compliance with the terms of the Personal Responsibility Agreement, invoking sanctions as warranted.
  7. Enrolls children in child care settings, as appropriate.
  8. Authorizes payment to eligible parents presenting appropriate qualifying documentation and assesses parent fees.
  9. Implements client service, fund utilization, enrollment, and service priority strategies.
  10. Explains parents' rights and responsibilities and attendance responsibilities.
  11. Tracks attendance and service utilization; refers suspected fraud or misuse to the appropriate resource.
  12. Enters client and case eligibility, demographic, and service information into the designated system.
  13. Assists and prepares responses for quality assurance monitoring.
  14. Provides process informational support and instruction to parents as needed.
  15. May coordinate the recruitment, processing, and monitoring of local area relative providers.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Three years of directly related, progressively responsible work experience or equivalent combinations.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong management and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work across all levels of management and staff.
  5. Knowledge of community resources.
  6. Ability to work with and relate to clients.
  7. Cultural sensitivity is a must.
  8. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
