Job summary

Texoma Community Center in Sherman, TX is seeking a Child and Adolescent Program Manager to oversee the program in accordance with the Texas Administration Code and current state guidelines.

The Program Manager will onboard and train CMH staff with the CMH Team Lead, ensure performance contract measures are met, and drive continuous quality improvement while providing advocacy, assessment, and trauma-informed counseling for youth with emotional disturbance or behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, and/or Social Work required.
  • Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) preferred or actively working on intern hours to be a LPCA/LPHP/LP-SW
  • Experience with individuals with mental illness or addiction issues desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees program operations for the Child and Adolescent program per state guidelines.
  • Onboards and trains CMH staff in collaboration with CMH Team Lead.
  • Manages CMH staff to meet HHSC and CCBHC contract metrics and quality improvements.
  • Provides advocacy, assessment, diagnosis, and counseling for children/adolescents.
  • Delivers outpatient, trauma-informed counseling and crisis intervention within licensure.
  • Ensures fidelity to state/federal statutes, center policies, and licensing requirements.

Texoma Community Center (TCC) is one of 39 Texas Community Centers, which are governmental entities as defined by Title 7 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.

Position Summary: Manages program oversight for the Child and Adolescent program as dictated by the Texas Administration Code and current state guidelines. The Program Manager will be responsible for onboarding and training of new CMH staff in collaboration with CMH Team Lead. Provides management of CMH staff to facilitate adherence to performance contract measures and other metrics as required by HHSC contracts and CCBHC contracts. Participates in continuous quality improvement assurance and oversees service provision in accordance with approved curriculum and fidelity requirements. The Program Manager will also provide advocacy, assessment, diagnostic determinations, and counseling therapy for children and adolescents coping with emotional disturbance, needing counseling or having a behavioral health diagnosis, including possible severe and persistent mental illness. Provides out-patient, evidenced-based and trauma-informed counseling to identified clients. Provide brief crisis intervention, cognitive-based psychosocial rehabilitation and/or therapy in the form of individual, group and family counseling appropriate for licensure status and state guidelines. Provides treatment in compliance with Center policies and program procedures as well as clinical guidelines. Knows and ensures compliance and fidelity with all state and federal statutes as well as all contract and/or licensing requirements for the licensed counseling processes in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Texoma Community Center. Performs other duties as assigned by program director. The position will work within the Trauma Informed Care Model adopted by TCC and follows all requirements necessary for CCBHC standards.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, and/or Social Work required
  • Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) preferred or actively working on intern hours to be a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/ or addiction issues desirable

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:

  • Current driver’s license and vehicle for use while at work

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff and healthcare providers
  • Working knowledge in Quality Improvement, Risk Management, Medical Staff Coordination and/or continuous quality improvement philosophies and principles is preferred
