Madison County Government Wood River Facility in Wood River, IL, is seeking a full-time Child Advocacy Case Manager to support investigations of child abuse, provide assessments and education to children and non-offending caretakers, and connect families with needed resources. The role operates within a multidisciplinary team, offering ongoing support until case or court disposition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or similar field and two years related experience.
• A valid Illinois Driver’s License is required.
• Madison County residency required.

Responsabilités

• Contacts caregivers to confirm appointments and conducts intake including screening for special needs or crises.
• Welcomes families to the Center for CAC interviews; explains model, procedures and interview process.
• Collects family history and provides assessments of non-offending caretakers and child victims relevant to abuse investigations and needed services.
• Provides information to MDT members before, during and after interviews and during follow-up.
• Coordinates with onsite mental health providers and participates in monthly therapy program meetings.
• Testifies in court or DCFS hearings as needed; maintains confidentiality in accordance with laws and policies.
