Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university.
• At least two years of experience in child protective services ongoing case management, youth justice, mental health or AODA; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials; write reports and present information clearly.
• Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with clients, managers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform individualized client and family needs assessments, including eligibility determination and plan development.
• Assess dysfunction levels in families and recommend appropriate services.
• Provide counseling, case management and coordination to maximize access to services.
• Make court recommendations and write/ testify in court; follow up on court-ordered services.
• Maintain case records, prepare correspondence and reports; conduct home studies for kinship care.
