Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking full-time faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Academic Pediatrics, to join Comer Children's Hospital and affiliated sites. Appointees will provide real-time expert medical consultation within an interdisciplinary process and participate in court-related activities as needed.

Qualifications

MD or equivalent with eligibility for Illinois medical licensure.
Board certification or eligibility in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
Commitment to teaching and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time expert medical consultation to child welfare and law enforcement for mandated population.
Train pediatric residents during required rotation; deliver lectures and grand rounds.
Lead teaching and supervision of trainees and students; participate in scholarly activity.
Participate in quality improvement projects and programmatic/policy development related to child abuse medicine.
