Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is seeking full-time faculty members at any rank to support inpatient and outpatient care at Comer Children's Hospital and affiliated sites. Appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Pediatric Surgery.

Responsibilities will include patient care and teaching at The University of Chicago - Comer Children's Hospital and at affiliated off-site locations

Qualifications

• Have a medical doctorate or equivalent.
• Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
• Be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Surgery (or equivalent) in Pediatric Surgery.
• Have completed an accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in Pediatric Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Pediatric Surgery.
• Teach and supervise trainees and students, and engage in scholarly activity.
• Provide patient care at Comer Children's Hospital and affiliated off-site locations within the Chicagoland area.

Education

Medical Doctorate or equivalent

State of Illinois licensure eligibility

Board-certified or board-eligible by ABMS in Pediatric Surgery

Completed accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship
