Job summary

University of Chicago seeks full-time faculty in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, to care for children at Comer Children's Hospital and affiliated ambulatory locations. Teaching and scholarly activity are included as core components of the role.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology is expected.
• ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine training required.
• Licensure in Illinois and Indiana is expected or eligible.
• Bronchoscopy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to pediatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in teaching and supervision of residents and trainees.
• Engage in scholarly activity and departmental service.
• Assume leadership roles commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Clinical responsibilities will focus on care of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital ambulatory clinics and other offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. Opportunities for leadership roles may be available to candidates with appropriate skills or experience. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Qualifications

• 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent
• 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana
• 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology and/or Sleep Medicine training program
• 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
• 5) have bronchoscopy experience
