Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is seeking full-time Pediatric General Surgeons at all ranks to join Comer Children’s Hospital and affiliated sites. The role includes inpatient and outpatient care, teaching, and scholarly activity.

Qualified candidates will have an MD, Illinois licensure eligibility, board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Surgery, and completed pediatric surgery fellowship or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree required.
• Must hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the ABPS (Pediatric Surgery) or equivalent.
• Completed accredited fellowship and/or equivalent training in Pediatric Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric surgical care.
• Teach and supervise trainees and students.
• Engage in scholarly activity.
• Contribute to program development at Comer Children’s Hospital and affiliated sites.

Education
