Job summary

The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, in partnership with the Barnes Foundation, seeks a Chief Operating Officer to translate vision into operational strategy and organizational effectiveness. The COO will oversee administration, financial planning, and performance while pursuing innovation, growth, and long-term sustainability.

Hybrid role based in Philadelphia with the Center on Tuesday–Thursday on campus, and remote scheduling on other days; ideal candidate has 7+ years of senior nonprofit

Qualifications

• 7 years minimum of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, arts administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience leading strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to develop and implement organizational strategy and operating plans.
• Translate strategic objectives into budgets, systems, and performance measures.
• Oversee administrative functions, grants, and financial administration with a focus on cost efficiency.
• Lead earned revenue initiatives and monitor industry trends for sustainability.
• Direct organizational administration and coordinate with Barnes Foundation departments.
