Job description

Cardone Training Technologies Inc. (CTTI) is the world leader in education, consulting, and management for small businesses. Founded by Grant Cardone, CTTI has helped small businesses grow and scale for over 30 years through online programs, workshops, one-on-one coaching, and large-scale events. Thanks to a three-decade track record helping over 2 million businesses 10X their revenues, the GCE empire now spans Business Education, Investment, Private Equity, Philanthropy, and Technology Development.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a Chief Technology Officer to govern our technology stack end to end — not just for internal use, but as a product we sell to our clients. This is a build-and-own mandate: you will decide what technology we keep, what we kill, what we build ourselves, and what we consolidate, while running a lean, efficient, and fiscally disciplined technology organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will operate as a true business partner — every decision is judged on the value it creates for the business, for our clients, and for revenue.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a purely strategic one. The right person can operate at the strategy table and just as comfortably get into VMware, Active Directory, AWS, or Google Workspace to solve a real problem alongside their team.

This role demands a 10X mindset: bias toward bold moves, speed, and ownership over incrementalism. We're not looking for someone to maintain what exists — we're looking for someone to rebuild our technology foundation into a competitive advantage and a revenue driver, while keeping the lights on and the budget under control.

WHY THIS ROLE

This is a rare mandate: full authority to rebuild a technology stack from the inside out — strategically and hands-on — with a direct line to leadership and a clear path to turning internal technology into a new revenue line. If you operate with a 10X mindset, respect the budget, and want ownership rather than just influence, this is your seat.

WHAT YOU'LL DO — STRATEGY & GOVERNANCE
  • Take full ownership of tech stack governance — evaluate every tool, platform, and system currently in use and make clear build, buy, consolidate, or kill decisions.
  • Lead the shift from internal-only technology to a technology stack that is also a commercial product — sellable, supportable, and scalable for external clients.
  • Bring deep, current expertise in AI to identify where AI can replace, augment, or eliminate existing tools and vendors, and where it can create new revenue opportunities.
  • Drive a disciplined build-vs-buy-vs-consolidate framework, cutting redundant or underperforming tech spend and reinvesting in what moves the business forward.
  • Design and own the architecture for a technology platform other companies can license or buy, working closely with sales and product on commercialization strategy.
  • Partner directly with the executive leadership team as a revenue-focused business partner — every roadmap decision is tied to business impact, not just technical elegance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO — HANDS-ON OPERATIONS
  • Personally stay close to the infrastructure — VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, Google Workspace, and the Mac desktop environment — well enough to make informed decisions and step in when needed.
  • Oversee daily IT operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and vendor and network administration across a multi-facility client/server environment.
  • Own the security and privacy of company data and systems, using tools such as MDM and Active Directory, and drive continuous improvement in the company's security posture.
  • Manage the technology budget with rigor — identify and execute on cost-saving and consolidation opportunities without compromising performance or reliability.
  • Apply agile methodologies and disciplined project management to deliver IT projects and initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Ensure appropriate support coverage, including after-hours and weekend availability, for critical systems and events.
  • Build, mentor, and hold accountable a lean, high-output technology team; recruit people who move fast, own outcomes, and don't need handholding.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management, including proven leadership of a technology team, ideally within a medium-sized business.
  • Hands-on, current expertise with VMware, Active Directory, MDM, AWS, Google Workspace, the Mac desktop environment, and application development.
  • Experience in the analysis, installation, administration, and troubleshooting of client/server data networks, including multi-facility environments.
  • A demonstrated record of driving tech stack consolidation, rationalization, or build-vs-buy decisions at a medium-sized business.
  • Strong, current knowledge of AI tools and platforms, with a track record of applying AI to cut costs, replace legacy tools, or build new capability.
  • Experience taking an internally built technology and turning it into a product or platform sold to external clients.
  • A business partner and revenue-focused mentality — you think about margin, pricing, and customer value as naturally as you think about architecture.
  • A 10X mindset paired with fiscal discipline — bold, fast decision-making that still respects the budget and the bottom line.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and make the case for hard calls (killing a tool, replacing a vendor, building in-house).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing principles and practices is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • The company's tech stack is simpler, cheaper, and more capable within the first year — redundant tools eliminated, high-value tools built or consolidated in-house.
  • IT operations run smoothly day to day, with the CTO personally able to diagnose and resolve core infrastructure issues, not just delegate them.
  • The technology budget is well-managed, with clear, measurable cost savings from consolidation and vendor renegotiation.
  • Internal technology has a clear, credible path to becoming a revenue-generating product for clients.
  • The executive leadership team see you as a hands-on, fiscally responsible revenue partner — not a purely strategic voice disconnected from execution.
LOCATION & SCHEDULE

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., onsite in Aventura, FL, with additional hours as needed to support the business, including occasional evenings and weekends.
