A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Chief Technologist to oversee imaging services. This role involves coordinating daily operations, ensuring patient safety, and managing team schedules. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and certifications in radiology/nuclear medicine. Join a dynamic team committed to quality patient care and operational excellence.
The Chief Technologist monitors and reports on daily aspects of imaging services. They assist the Manager (Operations/Center Manager) and/or Radiology Supervisor in coordinating daily operations to maximize patient care quality, ensure proper equipment performance, maintain safety and cleanliness, and control service costs. They schedule team members' work assignments and participate in evaluations and education, overseeing multiple modalities regardless of individual licensure.
Performing clinical scans with responsibility for patient safety. Scan time may range from 60% to 80%. Scheduling and filling open shifts as needed.
Creating and distributing team member schedules, approving up to 40 timecards, hiring, managing performance, developing team members, and conducting assessments and reviews.
Acting as the primary contact for escalations, liaising between customers, operations leadership, and sales. Supporting audits, accreditation activities, and protocol development.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree and certification from a college or technical school in Radiology/Nuclear Medicine or equivalent experience; Bachelor's preferred.
3 years of scanning experience preferred.
CPR certification.
State licensure in supported modalities, if applicable.
Valid driver's license, as applicable.
Certifications specific to modalities (e.g., ARRT, ARMRIT, ARRT(Ct), ARRT(N), NMTCB, ARRT(M), ARDMS, ARRT(S)) as applicable.
Scanning experience in MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, and Mammography, depending on modality.
Ability to work at multiple locations.
Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Basic computer skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25% locally.
COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
Successful completion of a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, blood and body fluids, infectious and environmental hazards. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to lift and move non-ambulatory patients, and to stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and maintain balance.
