Job summary

AV in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer III to lead successful technical deliverables across design, analysis, prototype, integration, and verification, coordinating with chief engineers and project managers.

You will drive development, participate in prototype builds, manage risk, and ensure on-time, on-budget execution while applying best practices and advanced technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of related technical experience in product development
• Proven experience with full product development life cycle from concept to production
• Proven execution of product development methods and best practices
• Experience working within integrated product teams
• Broad-based technical knowledge across engineering disciplines
• Strong organization, facilitation and negotiation skills
• Ability to analyze the assigned project, break down work into functional disciplines and/or subsystems and create design/develop plans

Responsibilities

• Improve product development processes by employing lessons learned and best practices
• Coordinate cross-discipline teams through meetings and progress measurement activity to bring projects to completion on time and within budget
• Develop subsystem specifications, characterization and performance evaluations
• Participate in Prototype builds, suppliers, contractors and design service providers
• Drive development of subsystem specifications and performance evaluations
• Manage day-to-day technical aspects including design reviews, defect tracking and risk management
• Introduce tools to improve project engineering excellence
• Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Work on problems of diverse scope with data-driven analysis
• Operate with minimal day-to-day instruction
• Perform other duties as assigned
