Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – Chief Engineer to lead modernization and certification of secure military crypto-enabled devices in El Segundo, CA. You will guide a multi-disciplinary team, drive system design decisions, and align with customer and program objectives while partnering with PMO to manage cost, schedule, and crypto certification milestones.

The role operates in both agile and traditional development environments, with ownership of system

Qualificações

• Experience with end-to-end systems engineering processes including requirements capture, design, integration, verification and transition to production.
• Experience leading $5-10M programs as chief engineer or lead on large defense programs for 5+ years.
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required before start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
• Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical leadership across a multi-disciplinary team for upgrades and crypto-enabled systems.
• Drive system-level requirements decomposition, integration planning, and verification activities.
• Serve as product owner or scrum master and manage defect resolution via CCBs.
• Coordinate with PMO and customer to achieve crypto certification milestones.
• Support bid and proposal efforts and cost/risk analyses.
