Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to design and develop secure military communication solutions. You will interface with multi-discipline teams to create system-level products addressing domestic and international needs.

The role requires leading requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and verification activities, with a goal of production-ready systems and strong program management communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with the systems development process from requirements capture to production.
• Active SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• STEM degree with 8+ years or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile framework.
• Strong communication skills for technical data presentation to leadership.
• Experience with cryptographic hardware, network encryption specifications.
• Experience with DOORS, CAMEO, Rust, Python.
• Experience with hardware/software integration and verification/testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform system requirements decomposition from the customer down to subsystems; lead a requirements team and ensure compliance with architecture.
• Perform analyses, architecture and design at all levels of the total system product from concept to disposal.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications via trade studies and interface definitions.
• Provide analyses for decomposition of specifications and develop verification criteria and plans.
• Conduct system-level planning, integration, verification/validation, cost/risk assessment, and supportability analyses.
• Contribute to bid and proposal efforts.
