Job summary

The Air Force Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base seeks a qualified candidate for the role of Chief, Special Security Office (SSO). You will lead the 412 TW SCI program, ensure security compliance for SCIFs, and coordinate with program managers and national agencies to support DoD missions.

You will manage risk, write SCI guidance, oversee contract security lifecycles, investigations, and budget planning to fund future SCI facilities and infrastructure. TS clearance required.

Qualifications

• Must currently have a TS clearance and must maintain clearance level.
• This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
• Travel up to 20 days a year may be required.
• Probationary/trial periods depending on position type (competitive/excepted).

Responsibilities

• Serves as Chief, Special Security Office (SSO) directing the 412 TW SCI program.
• Instruments security compliance for SCIFs and coordinates with managers and national agencies.
• Oversees contract security lifecycles, investigations, and personnel security processes.
• Manages risk audits, information systems security, and budget inputs for SCI facilities.
