Job summary

L.J. Gonzer is seeking an experienced Safety & Training professional to oversee and develop comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety programs across our Broadway, NY service area and field sites.

The role requires 5+ years in construction or transportation safety with at least 3 years in training, OSHA expertise, and strong curriculum design and delivery skills. Regular office work with field visits, 52-week contract, and preference for a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of related safety experience in construction or transportation with training experience.
• Experience in training administration and curriculum design.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety principles.
• Proficient in computer skills and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Represent the AVP of Safety in day-to-day operations.
• Evaluate Safety Training programs to ensure continuous implementation, effectiveness, and adherence to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Manage technical and process-related programs and tools to address education and training needs.
• Lead safety-related initiatives and programs to enhance the organization’s safety culture.
• Prepare occupational health and safety performance data for safety training programs for safety leadership.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, update, and deliver Safety training programs to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings.
• Consultant shall be required to use his/her own cell phone.
