Taylor's Construction, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Safety Director to lead safety strategy across telecommunications and utility construction. This role develops field safety expectations, builds leadership, and ensures training, tools, and processes for safe execution.

The Safety Director collaborates with executive leadership, operations, and safety personnel to reduce risk, strengthen safety performance, and maintain compliance across aerial and underground fiber construction and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive safety experience in telecommunications, utility construction, or field-based construction environments.
• 5+ years in a leadership capacity directing safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and federal/state safety requirements.
• Ability to lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of company-wide safety programs, policies, and field expectations.
• Identify high-risk activities with operations and field leadership and integrate safety into daily construction execution.
• Provide safety leadership and accountability among supervisors and craft employees.
• Conduct field audits, jobsite assessments, and operational reviews across all activities.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, client, company, and state safety requirements; support audits.
• Track safety performance, identify trends, and provide leadership with actionable metrics.
