Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting is partnering with an established organization to identify an experienced Director of Safety to lead its environmental health, safety, and workers’ compensation functions. This role requires developing, coordinating, and implementing occupational health and safety policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing workplace risks, and overseeing workers’ compensation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Certifications such as EHS, OSHA, CESCO, ISO, and Train-the-Trainer preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and standards.
• Oversee OSHA recordkeeping, documentation, and reporting.
• Identify risks and stop operations posing risk to employees.
• Lead safety training and update programs.
• Review incident reports to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation processes and claims administration.
