Job summary

Ceres Environmental Services is seeking a Director of Safety, Risk & Environmental Management to lead enterprise-wide safety, risk, and environmental programs. This role reports to the President and drives regulatory compliance, training, and incident investigations across multiple projects and departments.

The position requires 15–20 years in construction safety with leadership experience; OSHA certifications and HAZWOPER are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 15 - 20 years of experience in heavy, civil, or infrastructure construction safety for federal, state and local clients.
• 10 years of leadership experience in safety programs.
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives across high-risk environments.
• OSHA 30 Certification and OSHA 500/510 preferred.
• HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification and First Aid/CPR.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide safety, risk, and environmental management strategies.
• Direct and mentor Safety Managers and Safety Supervisors.
• Oversee safety, risk, environmental, and claims management programs.
• Conduct and oversee job-site safety programs, audits, and reviews.
• Develop safety trainings and leadership programs for employees.
• Lead investigations of accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and compliance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field

15 - 20 years of experience in heavy, civil, or infrastructure construction safety

10 years of leadership experience

OSHA 30 Certification

OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 Certification

HAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification

First Aid / CPR Certification

Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
