Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, at staff/principal/chief level or equivalent leadership.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex software systems using C++ and Python, ideally in robotics or embedded environments.
• Demonstrated track record architecting and delivering mission-critical software systems.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, performance optimization, multithreading, memory management, and production software development.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the overall software architecture and technical direction for complex robotics, autonomy, and embedded systems.
• Lead critical software initiatives from concept through implementation, integration, validation, and production deployment.
• Remain hands-on in the codebase, contributing to challenging areas in C++ and Python.
• Establish software engineering standards, architectural principles, development practices, and review processes.
• Architect software that integrates perception, computer vision, controls, embedded computing, networking, and mechanical systems.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple software and multidisciplinary teams, aligning architecture and interfaces.
