Job summary

MB Solutions inc in Washington, DC area seeks a software engineer for DoD robotics systems. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a final DoD SECRET clearance, plus a minimum B.Sc. in engineering or related field and 5 years of experience.

You will develop software controls for robotic systems, load boot code, evaluate algorithms, design and integrate software components, and ensure delivery with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a final DoD granted SECRET security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Minimum B.Sc. in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• 5 years of experience in related field.
• Develop software control of robotic systems with real-time sensing and actuating interfaces.
• Develop hardware and boot code for robotic services and OS/application loading.
• Evaluate and apply advanced mathematical methods and algorithms in software solutions.

• Shall evaluate and apply advanced mathematical methods and algorithms in software solutions which meet the control and performance requirements of robotic systems.
• Shall develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
• Shall provide input to software components of system design including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.
• Shall design, implement, and integrate software applications or perform software engineering tasks.
• Shall utilize software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to development, integration, and production environment.
• Shall ensure efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
• Shall mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manage large scale, integrated software projects.
