Job summary

Lebanon Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead risk management, compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination for the credit union. The CRO will partner with executive leadership and department heads to strengthen controls and support responsible growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, risk management, or related field.
• Significant experience in financial services risk management, compliance, audit, with leadership responsibility.
• Working knowledge of financial institution operations and regulatory environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise risk management program aligned with operations and strategy.
• Lead periodic risk assessments, evaluate controls, identify exposures, and set priorities.
• Recommend risk policies, acceptable risk levels, and reporting measures for management and Board.
• Partner with departments on business continuity, incident response, third-party risk, and data protection.
• Review policies, procedures, complaints, operational errors, and control exceptions to strengthen compliance and operations.
• Coach and develop assigned employees and maintain strong cross-organizational relationships.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures set by LFCU.
