Job summary

Lebanon Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead risk management, compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination. The CRO will partner with executives and boards to promote sound decision-making and responsible growth.

The role reports to the CEO and is a key member of the executive leadership team, driving risk strategy across the organization and working closely with department leaders to protect member information and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, accounting or risk management.
• Significant progressive experience in financial services risk management with leadership responsibility.
• Working knowledge of financial institution operations and regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise risk management program aligned with operations and strategy.
• Lead periodic risk assessments, evaluate controls, identify exposures and prioritize improvements.
• Recommend risk policies, acceptable risk levels, and reporting measures for the Board.
• Partner with departments on business continuity and third-party risk management.
• Review policies and controls to strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness.
• Coach and develop assigned employees and foster strong relationships.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by LFCU.
