Job summary

Kokosing is seeking a Vice President of Risk to lead enterprise-wide risk management for a large, self-performing heavy civil contractor. You will guide insurance, claims, contract risk, and loss prevention, partnering with executive leadership, Operations, Legal, and Finance to protect assets and optimize risk costs.

This senior role requires strategic influence, robust leadership, and a track record of managing complex risk programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Law, or related field.
• 10-15 years progressive experience in risk management, insurance, or related role in construction.
• Designations such as ARM, CRM, CIC, CPCU preferred.
• Prior senior/executive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Enterprise Risk Management strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee corporate insurance program design, placement, and administration across all coverages.
• Provide executive oversight of all claim activities and monitor risk metrics.
• Partner with legal and operations on contract risk transfer and compliance across projects.
• Drive enterprise-wide risk culture and risk training for field and leadership teams.
