Job summary

AVB is seeking a Vice President of Residential Operations in Portage, MI to lead end-to-end delivery of our residential communities—from land development and infrastructure through home construction and homeowner service.

This executive role aligns development, construction, procurement, project management, customer care, and operational strategy to drive predictable, profitable results across multiple communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 15+ years of residential construction/operations experience.
• 10+ years leading multiple departments or business units.
• Experience overseeing multi-community production environments.
• Strong financial budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and gross margin experience.
• Experience implementing Lean, Continuous Improvement, PMO, KPI, or Operational Excellence programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of residential community delivery from land development to homeowner warranty.
• Drive performance across land development, construction, procurement, project management, and customer care.
• Develop scalable systems, processes, and accountability for growth.
• Align Development, Sales & Marketing, Design, Finance, and HR to meet targets.
