Job Description - Chief Quality Officer (2500016Y)
Position Summary
The Chief Quality Officer (CQO), HSCSN/Community and Population Health, is responsible for establishing and overseeing the implementation of the Quality Management (QM) and Quality Improvement (QI) strategy for the health plan, Pediatric Health Network (PHN), and related entities. This role includes leading the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program and related activities under The District's Child and Adolescent Supplemental Security Income Program (CASSIP). The CQO provides leadership to achieve clinical and non-clinical program objectives, champions QM/QI principles, and collaborates with stakeholders to optimize health outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's in Business, Public Health, or related field preferred; Medical Doctor (M.D.) required.
Minimum Work Experience: 5 years in ambulatory or clinical settings; 3-5 years as Medical Director or in health plans preferred.
Skills and Knowledge: Expertise in clinical quality management, experience with improvement models (Model for Improvement, Lean), data analysis proficiency, leadership skills, knowledge of population health, familiarity with healthcare operations and regulations, and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Physician in District of Columbia.
Key Responsibilities
Other Duties: Maintain knowledge of quality improvement practices, assist interdepartmental issues, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Status: Full-Time, Regular
Salary Range: $150,000 - $450,000
