Job summary

THREADED FASTENERS INC in Mobile, AL seeks a Director of Purchasing & Inventory to own the company’s purchasing and inventory strategy, balancing stock levels with service levels and supplier performance.

You will lead the central purchasing team, set standards, manage the annual budget, and build strategic supplier relationships to improve turns, forecast accuracy, and working capital. Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in purchasing/inventory control required; P21 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field; five years' experience in Purchasing and Inventory Control.
• Experience leading a purchasing team and setting company-wide standards.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills with supplier-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the Company's purchasing and inventory strategy.
• Provides leadership for the central purchasing team and establishes priorities.
• Creates and maintains purchasing guidelines, approval authorities, and inventory standards.
• Develops inventory planning strategies, including target levels and replenishment methods.
• Manages annual purchasing budget and strategic vendor spending plans.
• Builds strategic supplier relationships and conducts supplier reviews.
• Establishes supplier management processes, scorecards, and performance monitoring.
• Maintains lost sales reporting and uses data to improve inventory availability.
