Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for public safety, community outreach, and homeless outreach programs.
Develop and implement a comprehensive public safety strategy aligned with priorities and laws.
Advise leadership on public safety, security, preparedness, risk, and operations.
Establish goals, policies, and standards for public safety; ensure compliance and professional conduct.
Lead change initiatives to strengthen services and community outcomes.
Evaluate emerging public safety issues and recommend organizational responses.
Lead a diverse workforce with engagement, development, accountability, and retention.
Establish a culture of respect, professionalism, inclusion, service, and accountability.
Maintain visibility and communication with employees at all levels.
