Job summary

Schilit Hillel at University of Florida seeks a Chief Program Officer to transform student life on campus by leading a mission-driven team of professionals and students. You will design strategies to engage Jewish students, develop leadership, and expand outreach while maintaining operational excellence across the organization.

You will articulate a compelling vision for Jewish engagement, implement data-driven approaches to maximize reach, and supervise 6 full-time staff as you scale programs,

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Jewish, experiential, or higher education.
• Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred.
• Experience in a Jewish nonprofit organization is preferred.
• Strong supervision skills and coaching abilities.
• Ability to create structures and opportunities empowering students.
• Developed/implemented a strategic plan with data reporting.
• Track record of managing multiple projects with high quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute an engagement strategy to expand Hillel's reach within the UF community.
• Develop student leadership to provide diverse opportunities (community building, Jewish learning, Shabbat/holidays, social justice, Israel education).
• Supervise and support the growth of 6 full-time professionals.
• Develop relationships with students to strengthen Jewish identity and campus life.
• Oversee data-driven engagement strategies and campus partnerships.
• Lead curriculum design for cohort fellowships and programs such as the First Year Fellowship.
• Oversee Israel education and travel programs and ensure participant follow-through.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and organize quarterly leadership retreats.
