Job summary

Oregon Tilth is seeking a Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO) to lead technology strategy, enterprise architecture, and digital product innovation. You will guide IT governance, security, and operations while aligning technology with the organization's mission to protect organic integrity.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will shape a multi-year roadmap for certification services, manage vendors and budgets, mentor a growing tech team, and translate strategic priorities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years in a management-level role overseeing programs or departmental operations.
• Proven leadership with a service mindset, collaborative approach, and ability to engage in difficult conversations.
• Experience leading enterprise technology strategy, systems architecture, digital product development, platform modernization, and cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Experience overseeing custom software development or major platform implementations, working with outside developers, and managing vendors.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration and web/CMS platform oversight.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF and security standards like SOC 2.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML applications and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive digital product roadmap for certification-related services.
• Manage vendor contracts, budgets, and external partnerships.
• Build and mentor a high-performing technology and digital product team.
