Job summary

Glean is seeking an experienced Product Design leader to grow and manage a diverse design team across managers, designers, researchers, and content specialists. You’ll establish a high design bar, drive cross-functional collaboration, and shape a long-term vision for the product.

You will partner with product, engineering, marketing, and data science to deliver impactful work, while building distributed teams and maintaining a strong design culture in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years coaching and managing performance of Product Design, Content Design, UX Writing, and UX Research teams.
• Experience at high growth or late-stage tech companies in B2B, including managing managers.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual and interaction design craft with business impact.
• Hands-on, collaborative leader with ownership and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding design talent.
• Experience with distributed teams across time zones preferred (e.g., Mountain View and Bangalore).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product designers, researchers, and content designers to deliver high-quality product.
• Refine and lead the standard for design processes at Glean.
• Mentor and develop designers and design managers with clear performance standards.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to plan and hit metrics.
• Craft long-term design strategy and articulate product vision through design.
• Foster a thriving, safe, and collaborative design culture.
