Peckham Industries, Inc. through its Dailey Precast, LLC division, seeks a Chief Engineer to oversee all structural engineering for precast concrete products, especially parking structures.

You will manage in-house designers and third-party firms, ensure compliant designs, and drive cost-effective solutions for sales and production teams. You will lead design reviews, approve calculations, mentor engineers, and collaborate with leadership to align engineering with company goals.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• PE license required; must be able to obtain PE license in all New England states, New York, and New Jersey within 1 year of hire.
• At least 10 years of structural engineering experience, leadership role in precast concrete or commercial construction.
• Experience managing teams and coordinating with third-party engineering subcontractors.
• In-depth knowledge of precast concrete design principles and construction practices.
• Understanding of cost implications of engineering design and ability to reduce operational costs through efficient design.
• Proficiency in drafting, modeling, and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SAP2000, ETabs, Eriksson software, and Salmons Technologies.
• Strong project management skills to oversee multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Mansioni

• Lead, mentor, and manage the internal engineering team and coordinate with subcontracted firms.
• Direct and approve new precast concrete designs and review repair/retrofit solutions.
• Oversee deliverables to meet timelines, budget, and specifications.
• Collaborate with sales to provide engineering insights for proposals and pre-sales activities.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and optimize production methods.
• Ensure designs comply with codes and industry standards.
