Job summary

Amigo is seeking an engineering leader to drive growth of our platform across application, backend, infrastructure, and data. You will mentor engineers, hire leaders, and push execution from problem definition to production, balancing speed with the reliability required in clinical settings.

You will collaborate with product and AI teams to align priorities, shape the roadmap, and ensure platform health, security, and patient privacy across our systems.

Qualifications

• Track record of engineering leadership in scale-driven orgs.
• Experience mentoring engineers and growing leaders.
• Strong technical background with depth in architecture and system design.
• Ability to translate customer needs into a product roadmap.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow engineering across application, backend and infrastructure, with mentorship, direct feedback, and clear technical guidance.
• Hire engineers and develop leaders, building a team that continuously raises its own bar.
• Drive execution from problem definition through deployment, balancing speed with reliability in clinical settings.
• Engage deeply in technical discussions, guiding system design and architectural tradeoffs.
• Set the engineering culture: code reviews, shipping, definition of done, and incident response.
• Break large platform problems into increments that deliver value early while supporting long-term direction.
• Partner with Applied AI, Forward Deployed, and product teams to align priorities and decide platform absorption vs bespoke work.
• Maintain awareness of reliability, security, and privacy when working with patient data.
