Zaden Technologies in Chantilly, Virginia is hiring a senior cloud and infrastructure engineer to own the platform architecture across on-prem vSphere and AWS. You will lead environment-as-code and the self-service catalog, and set guardrails, standards, and the tooling baseline.

You will lead platform engineers and collaborate with infrastructure and cyber leads while planning the move to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and the Atlassian successor path. U.S.

Formación

• 10 years in cloud and infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on Terraform, Ansible and GitLab CI.
• Built automated provisioning inside a DoD RMF-authorized boundary or at IL4 or higher.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position.
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months.

Zaden Technologies is a defense technology company based in Huntsville, Alabama. We build AI, DevSecOps and digital engineering products and put them to work for DoD customers.

Turn a 2,000-plus VM test environment into governed, environment-as-code infrastructure that teams can request and get in days, not weeks.

You'll support a new Defense Health Agency program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the start date will align with the program start.

What you'll do:

• Own the platform architecture across on-premises vSphere and AWS, including where each workload belongs
• Lead environment-as-code and the self-service environment catalog
• Set platform guardrails, standards and the tooling baseline
• Lead the platform engineers and work alongside the infrastructure and cyber leads
• Plan the move to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 and the Atlassian successor path

Must have:

• 10 years in cloud and infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on Terraform, Ansible and GitLab CI
• Built automated provisioning inside a DoD RMF-authorized boundary or at IL4 or higher
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months

Nice to have:

• AWS or VMware professional-level certification
• An active Secret clearance or higher
• Experience with health IT or test environments

Location:

Chantilly, Virginia, on site at the test center, with work at the Ashburn, Virginia data center as needed.

Citizenship:

U.S. citizenship is required for the investigation this role needs. Zaden's FSO verifies investigation status.

Pay range: $168,000 to $201,000 per year for Chantilly, Virginia.
