Job summary

Zaden Technologies seeks an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to support a DoD program in Chantilly, VA. The role is on-site at the test center with potential work at the Ashburn data center.

You will administer Windows and Linux across enclaves, apply DISA STIGs, patch systems, and mentor junior admins while preparing runbooks. Citizenship and DoD 8140 work qualifications needed.

Qualifications

• 8 or more years in systems administration.
• Windows Server and Linux administration, including Active Directory.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and closing vulnerability findings.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the DHA background investigation.
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months.

Job description

Zaden Technologies is a defense technology company based in Huntsville, Alabama. We build AI, DevSecOps and digital engineering products and put them to work for DoD customers.

Keep the Windows and Linux systems under a 2,000-plus VM DoD test environment patched, hardened and running.

You'll support a new Defense Health Agency program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the start date will align with the program start.

What you'll do:

• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems across two enclaves
• Run patching and STIG compliance and close scan findings
• Lead system-level troubleshooting for test events
• Mentor systems administrators and write runbooks

Must have:

• 8 or more years in systems administration
• Windows Server and Linux administration, including Active Directory
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and closing vulnerability findings
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months

Nice to have:

• vSphere experience
• Ansible or PowerShell automation
• An active Secret clearance or higher

Location: Chantilly, Virginia, on site at the test center, with work at the Ashburn, Virginia data center as needed.

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required for the investigation this role needs. Zaden's FSO verifies investigation status.

Pay range: $99,000 to $153,000 per year for Chantilly, Virginia.
