Zaden Technologies in Chantilly, VA is seeking an experienced DevOps/DevSecOps engineer to help build and secure DoD-grade environments. You will implement Terraform, Packer, and Ansible in GitLab CI, create a self-service environment catalog with guardrails, and bake STIG hardening into each build.

You will mentor engineers and review their code as you support a new Defense Health Agency program. This on-site role requires US citizenship and DoD 8140 readiness within six months.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on Terraform, Ansible and GitLab CI.
• Experience building in a DoD or federal authorized environment.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position.
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months.

Zaden Technologies is a defense technology company based in Huntsville, Alabama. We build AI, DevSecOps and digital engineering products and put them to work for DoD customers.

Build the environment-as-code pipelines that stand up DoD test environments from a catalog request.

You'll support a new Defense Health Agency program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and the start date will align with the program start.

What you'll do:

• Mentor engineers and review their code

Must have:

• 8 or more years in DevOps, DevSecOps or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on Terraform, Ansible and GitLab CI
• Experience building in a DoD or federal authorized environment
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and keep the background investigation DHA designates for this position
• DoD 8140 qualification for your work role before privileged access, or the ability to earn it within six months

Nice to have:

• vSphere automation (PowerCLI, the Terraform vSphere provider)
• An active Secret clearance or higher

Location:

Chantilly, Virginia (Washington, D.C. area) is preferred, on site at the test center. Remote from Huntsville, Alabama, or from anywhere in the continental U.S. also works, through government-approved virtual desktop access, with trips to Chantilly when the work needs them.

Citizenship:

U.S. citizenship is required for the investigation this role needs. Zaden's FSO verifies investigation status.

Pay range: $138,000 to $183,000 per year. Your location and experience set where you land in the range.
