Weyerhaeuser’s Western Timberlands Division seeks a Chief Pilot based in McMinnville, Oregon. You will lead safe, compliant flight operations across forestry, fire suppression, aerial application, and heavy-lift construction missions, reporting to the Aviation Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in aviation, safety, business, or a related field preferred.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter and Instrument-Helicopter ratings.
• Current FAA medical certificate.
• Significant rotor-wing PIC experience in high-risk operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotor-wing pilot team with a strong safety culture.
• Maintain compliance with FAA Parts 91, 133, and 137; audit-ready records.
• Provide leadership for Part 91, 133, 137 operations and external-load missions.
• Develop training programs and pilot standardization.
• Strategic staffing and readiness for fire season and deployments.
• Cross-functional coordination with Timberlands, Forestry, Safety, and field teams.
• Mentor pilots and develop aviation leaders.
