Job summary

Roberts Hawaiʻi seeks a strategic Vice President of Human Resources to lead people strategy, culture, and workforce practices across the multi-island operation. The role partners with the President and CEO to strengthen accountability and employee-owner performance while driving HR modernization.

The position requires extensive senior HR leadership experience in complex organizations, with an emphasis on organizational design, succession, and total rewards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible HR experience with senior leadership in a multi-location org.
• Broad experience in workforce planning, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HR technology.
• Experience in safety-sensitive, operational, hospitality or tourism workforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR strategy aligning talent, culture, and workforce practices with company goals.
• Serve as trusted advisor to President/CEO and executives on organizational design and succession.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations, policies, controls, and reporting across islands.
• Develop phased HR modernization roadmap balancing immediate needs with long-term changes.
• Direct performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
