Job summary

MaineGeneral in Maine seeks an accomplished CHRO to shape the people strategy across the executive team and organization.

You will translate strategic priorities into integrated HR initiatives spanning talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership development, Total Rewards, HR operations, and employee engagement.

The role requires healthcare experience, strong executive presence, and a track record of driving culture, leadership and succession in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive HR leadership in a complex organization.
• Experience partnering with CEOs, Presidents and senior teams.
• Broad knowledge across major HR disciplines.
• Experience leading organizational change and transformation.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and SHRM-SCP / SPHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise the President/CEO and senior leaders on workforce and people strategy.
• Translate strategic priorities into integrated HR and workforce plans.
• Lead HR functions across talent acquisition, planning, management, leadership development, employee relations, total rewards, HR operations and technology, and engagement.
• Advance engagement and retention strategies to improve the employee experience.
• Develop leadership strategy, succession planning and development programs.
• Lead workforce planning and sustainable talent pipelines.
• Oversee Total Rewards to support recruitment and retention.
• Partner through organizational transformation and Epic readiness.
• Leverage workforce data and analytics to inform decisions.
• Build and lead a high-performing HR leadership team.
• Ensure HR policies and compliance support regulatory and organizational needs.
• Champion MaineGeneral's culture and values across the workforce.
