Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior seeks a Supervisory Park Ranger to lead the Division of Resource and Visitor Protection for Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument. The role emphasizes senior law enforcement oversight, program management, and interagency collaboration.

The incumbent will supervise staff, establish partner relations, and ensure safety, housing, and fee program operations across both parks.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Law Enforcement Commission or be eligible to receive Type I Commission upon appointment.
• Experience in park law enforcement, safety, and visitor protection programs.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage a multifaceted program at two sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Visitor and Resource Protection staff and act as Chief Ranger.
• Provide technical law enforcement leadership across Cumberland Island NS and Fort Frederica NM.
• Develop and oversee safety, EMS, search and rescue, and fire management programs.
• Build partnerships with agencies, concessionaires, residents, and stakeholders.
