Job summary

Juma Ventures is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to partner with the CEO and steer organizational strategy, operations, and programs. The role oversees Programs, Enterprise, Human Resources, Data and Evaluation, and core operations and infrastructure to scale impact for youth.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and foster a high-performing culture while advancing data-driven decision making and revenue diversification for sustained impact.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience with an organization-wide perspective.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and capacity building efforts.
• Experience in nonprofit management, youth development, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Function as a strategic business partner with the CEO and other senior staff to set goals and budgets.
• Lead organizational strategy, policies, and procedures across Programs, Enterprise, HR, Data and Evaluation.
• Supervise regional program directors and staff; develop and mentor talent.
• Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and performance, ensuring alignment with goals.
• Drive operational efficiency, data integration, and infrastructure improvements.
• Represent the organization with partners and boards; support fundraising and revenue diversification.
