Job Description - Chief Operating Officer (250001AO)

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for leading and managing all operational aspects of the Plan. This role supports the CEO in driving the growth and performance of the organization and collaborates with various corporate office leaders and departments.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum Work Experience: At least 8 years in managed care, including 3 years in managed care administration.

Job Functions

Essential duties include:

• Overseeing operational functions such as Administrative Support, Claims, Provider Relations, and Information Technology.
• Serving as a liaison to support functions, providers, and regulators.
• Contributing to strategic planning and policy development.
• Maintaining knowledge of network development, provider relations, and compliance issues.
• Hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff.
• Developing and executing provider network strategies and business plans.
• Collaborating on infrastructure development to support organizational growth.
• Assisting with government relationships and regulatory compliance.

Other duties: Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
