Base pay range

$225,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Position Summary:

As a member of Finley’s executive leadership team, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will play a key role in running the business and setting the strategic path for Finley over the next 5+ years. The COO will lead functions responsible for delivering professional services to clients within scope, schedule, and budget, including field operations, PMO, engineering services, and mapping services. The role involves building and developing a high-performing team, optimizing operations processes, and driving efficiencies to scale the business in collaboration with the executive team.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to lead operational transformation.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and develop operational strategies and objectives.
  • Build, develop, and lead the delivery services leadership team to enhance operational efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Maintain responsibility for all aspects of delivery services, including fiscal management, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Client Officer to align functions and improve the client experience.
  • Lead capacity planning to align resources with demand and maintain profit margins.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

Experience:

  • Extensive fiber transport (FTTH and FTTx) and energy industry experience with engineering professional services.
  • 10+ years of strategic leadership in operations and engineering.
  • 5+ years of executive leadership, including experience with board interactions.
  • Proven ability to set strategy and drive execution.
  • Strong delegation skills and experience leading organizational transformation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration expertise.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing, no DWI/DUI convictions.
Physical and Environmental Factors
  • Primarily office work, involving mental and visual attention, manual coordination.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Location:

Remote, preferably in Twin Cities, MN or Midwest US.

Travel:

Up to 20% of the time.

Note: The listed pay range is exclusive of benefits. Final pay depends on skills, education, experience, and internal equity. Hiring at the high end is not typical.
