Job description

For over 20 years, TN HomeBuyers has been Nashville’s trusted real estate investment company, helping homeowners sell their houses the easy way — with no stress, no delays, and no surprises. Whether someone needs to sell quickly or simply wants a hassle‑free process, we deliver clear, reliable solutions backed by our “Sell Your House the Easy Way” guarantee.

Our mission is to provide honest solutions for homeowners while strengthening the communities we serve. We believe meaningful work comes from solving real problems for real people, and we hold ourselves to a high standard of service, follow‑through, and results.

Our team operates under five core values: Team First, Responsibility, Stewardship, Trustworthiness, and Loyalty. These principles guide how we work, how we serve our customers, and how we hold ourselves accountable to the commitments we make every day.

At TN HomeBuyers, we believe great outcomes come from people who take ownership, support their team, and consistently deliver on what they promise.

Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for translating company vision into disciplined execution across the organization.

This role oversees day‑to‑day operations, departmental performance, leadership accountability, operating systems, scorecards, and cross‑functional execution. The COO ensures the right people, processes, reporting, and standards are in place so the company can grow profitably and sustainably.

This is not a passive executive seat. The right person is a hands‑on operator who can identify performance gaps, create structure, hold leaders accountable, and drive execution across multiple departments.

The COO reports directly to the Owner and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with the CEO to translate company vision into clear operational goals, priorities, scorecards, and execution plans
  • Lead company‑wide operating cadence, including departmental accountability, performance tracking, and leadership follow‑through
  • Oversee operational performance across departments to ensure workflows, systems, and processes support profitable growth
  • Review departmental scorecards, identify performance gaps, and drive corrective action when results fall below standard
  • Build and improve scalable systems, processes, reporting structures, and accountability rhythms across the organization
  • Support leadership team members in creating clear goals, priorities, training expectations, and performance standards for their departments
  • Analyze operational data, financial performance, and budget trends to guide business decisions and improve company outcomes
  • Ensure recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention systems support long‑term organizational health
  • Maintain strong relationships with key vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to support execution and business continuity
  • Reinforce company standards, policies, core values, and operating expectations across the organization
Ideal candidate experience and skill-sets:
  • Proven experience leading operations, departments, teams, or business units with measurable performance accountability
  • Strong ability to turn vision and strategy into clear plans, priorities, systems, and execution rhythms
  • Experience managing leaders, improving processes, and holding teams accountable to KPIs and business outcomes
  • Strong financial and operational acumen with ability to interpret scorecards, budgets, trends, and performance data
  • Experience building scalable operating systems, reporting structures, and cross‑departmental workflows
  • Ability to identify problems quickly, make sound decisions, and drive corrective action without waiting for direction
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, challenge, and support department leaders
  • High ownership, strong follow‑through, and ability to operate with minimal oversight
  • Experience in real estate investing, construction, sales, finance, or property‑related operations is beneficial but not required
  • Strong alignment with a performance‑driven culture built around accountability, stewardship, and results
