Job summary

The Virginia League for Planned Parenthood is seeking a Chief of Staff to provide strategic and operational leadership in support of the CEO and senior leadership. This role drives priorities, coordinates major initiatives, and aligns internal stakeholders to advance VLPP’s mission.

You will oversee board operations, manage executive functions, and supervise cross-functional projects, IT security coordination, and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in executive support, change management, and project management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex programs.
• Strong strategic thinking and organized problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee board operations including quarterly meetings and minutes.
• Manage executive office functions for CEO/CMO/General Counsel and support compliance.
• Lead organization-wide projects and ensure hand-off to day-to-day management.
• Coordinate IT and cybersecurity vendors to ensure compliance and security.
• Serve as Affiliate Security Lead and crisis response liaison.
• Brief CEO with materials for meetings and appearances.
• Provide daily operations insights to guide strategic direction.
• Partner with Communications to align messaging.
• Other duties as assigned.
