Job summary

PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF THE GREAT RIVERS is hiring a Chief of Strategy to inform and direct organizational strategy. The role acts as a strategic partner, advisor, and project lead to the CEO and Senior Team, with potential phone reimbursement support and periodic travel to affiliate sites.

The position requires a Master’s in Public Health or Social Work and at least 8 years of senior leadership experience, with deep knowledge of Missouri’s health landscape and nonprofit governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Health or Social Work.
• At least 8 years of senior-level leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of Missouri health and policy landscape.
• Experience in upper-level management in a not-for-profit organization.
• Strategic planning experience and maintaining a strategic plan over time.
• Project management experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills / emotional intelligence with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse set of colleagues.
• Strong analytical skills and use of data to drive decision-making and to build consensus/support.
• Strong written, communication, and organizational skills, including prioritization.
• Ability to build strong relationships across stakeholders and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Serve as conduit, advisor, and project lead to the CEO and Senior Team on major strategic projects.
• Advise and support leadership in organizational change to engage employees at all levels.
• Partner with the CEO to engage the Board on strategic issues/high-priority topics.
• Lead annual and quarterly planning processes with ST for alignment to the plan.
• Identify opportunities to integrate across functions and address challenges.
• Promote open communication and creative problem solving to meet goals.
• Oversee projects to ensure budgets, timelines, and accountabilities are met.
• Maintain organizational structure and processes to support growth.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Periodic travel to affiliate locations may be required
