Buffalo Public Schools seeks an Executive Director of Plant Services to oversee the Division of Plant Services and School Planning. The role negotiates with contractors, supervises engineers and staff, and advises the Superintendent on facilities operations.

The position requires a professional engineering or architectural license with substantial managerial experience in large building design, construction, and maintenance. Salary is up to $150,000 under contractual agreement.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering with managerial/supervisory experience in large buildings.
• Professional Engineer or Architect license required and must be maintained.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction, maintenance, and safety of large facilities.

Responsabilités

• Oversee plant maintenance, rehabilitation, and modernization programs.
• Prepare bid specifications and manage purchasing and inventory control.
• Develop plans and specifications for construction projects and reconstructions.
• Liaise with contractors; supervise staff and consultants.
• Direct and evaluate contractors and ensure compliance with contracts.
