Job summary

Wayne State University School of Medicine and Wayne Health seek a physician leader to serve as Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. The Chief will oversee clinical, educational, and research programs and guide strategic growth for the division.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified in internal medicine, have substantial administrative experience in academic medicine, and demonstrate a track record in teaching, patient care, and program

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Michigan.
• Board certification in a subspecialty of Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility for medical staff privileges at Wayne Health, DMC, and KCC.
• Minimum five years of progressively complex administrative experience in an academic medical center setting.
• Demonstrated track record in teaching, clinical care, and research in an academic department of medicine.
• Commitment to patient care with a service-oriented, team-based philosophy with hospital administration and health professionals from all disciplines.
• Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
